I've been using Natural Reader Software every day for almost two months. It is undoubtedly the most useful software I own. As a PhD student, I constantly use Natural Reader to read over my own writings, journal articles, websites, email, and even e-books. Natural Readers' voice-speed controls allow me to listen to written material much quicker than reading on my own, allowing me to get through more material per hour. I also find that reading along with Natural Reader at a fast pace increases my concentration, thus allowing me to absorb information from texts more quickly and effectively.

In addition, I have also found that using Natural Reader as a proof-reader is significantly more effective than having people proof read over anything that I write. Natural Reader work so well as a proof-reader because it allows you to hear both grammatical mistakes and spelling mistakes that human proof-readers often overlook. The AT&T natural voices also allow you to hear the prose of sentence structures, giving you a good idea as to how your ideas are being conveyed through text.

Within a week of using Natural Reader, I was so satisfied with it that I purchased a second voice (Mel). I highly recommend this software as a means to increase productivity, particularly if you have to deal with a lot of emails and other textual material.

I have a “bilingual” Natural Reader and it has become a very useful tool. I no longer strain my eyes trying to read tiny fonts in e-mails or web pages or spend time recording my own voice for teaching purposes. By the way, my students haven't noticed that my “friend” Kate, who reads lessons so nicely, is a computer generated voice.

NaturalReader works great for my long commute. I can listen to many lengthy PDF files while I drive, much safer then reading them!! I have been searching for something exactly like this for over a year.

It was dead easy to install and it even works in Outlook Express (great for listening to emails)

I have a very good friend living in Melbourne who has irreversible eye damage. This programme would be ideal for her to use on the computer, but instead of magnifying the screen text as in the past, she can simply sit back and listen to the emails. Alternatively, she could convert them to MP3 using Natural Reader and copy them to her MP3 player!

I have gone back to full time studies and I use NaturalReader to proofread my essays. It has helped me to spot mistakes that grammar and spell-check overlooked. It also overcome the problem of reading it myself and unconsciously reading a word right when it should be wrong. I am happy with the product.

I am a student with a lot of reading and natural reader is great as it means I don't get eye strain and am not so tried as I was. It is also great for reading essays back to me, so I can hear what I wrote and my grammar.

I edit local news for a weekly Talking News tape & CD service for people with visual impairment. I use Natural Reader to time individual items to fit the time constraints of the recording media we use and to balance out workload between the 4 readers each week. The control over talking speed is particularly useful for this. When I realised how good the software was I also added a German voice to improve my pronunciation when visiting friends in Germany.

It's my personal gift from the gods and I don't know how I survived all these years without it. I even used it in this little piece.

For me it's a tough disciplinarian. When I hear my words out loud, I'm forced to actually think about what I've written--I hear all the extraneous words, all the muddy sentences, all my boo-boo's. It's just like Mom's reading it to me.
